The Last 7.5 Hours (Warning: Disgusting)

Read at your own risk.

Who knew so much could happen in 7.5 hours. Well, it started at 3 am, when I woke up to Oliver crying. I tried to go back to sleep, thinking that he will just fall asleep in a few minutes. Recently he has been waking up more often at night, which I contribute mostly to a growth spurt. This was not because of a growth spurt.  Instead, I heard vomiting... I jumped out of bed and ran into his bedroom to find vomit all over his bed and everything in it, including himself. I gave him a quick bath (Bath #1) while Jan threw everything into the laundry (Load #1). We tried to give him water, but he didn't want it. We gave him milk, and put him back to bed. He cried for a little while, like he normally does. Next thing I know, he vomited again. This time, it's his half-curdled milk that we just gave him. Again, it's all over his bed, him, and on the floor. I pick him up, and he throws up all over me, the floor again, and the wall. Jan cleans Oliver up, and I throw everything into the laundry (Load #2). Thankfully I did Oliver's laundry yesterday, so he had all three of his warm PJs to switch into. I sat and rocked Oliver to bed. He vomited a little more that was caught by my hand and cleaned up by Jan. Then he finally fell asleep, and I put him in his crib.

Fast-forward to 8 am when he woke up. He wouldn't eat his toast and eggs that I made him from breakfast, so I changed his diaper. Worst. Diarrhea. Ever.  And of course, it got all over his third pair of pajamas (Load #3). I was about to vomit, and I've seen him do pretty icky ones before. After I cleaned him up, we finished our morning routine. Then I decided to give him another bath (Bath #2), since he still smelled a little like vomit, and he had just pooped all over himself not too long ago. As Oliver was about to finish up his bath, I washed my face. I turned around after washing my face and find that he pooped all in the tub. I drain the water, take out all of his toys, take him out, and let him run around in the bathroom naked while I disinfect the tub to give him yet another bath. And what does he do while running around? He poops on the floor. And let me remind you, this is diarrhea. So, I rinse him off real quick and let him run around the bathroom (but not near the splatter he just made), while I disinfect and clean the tub as quickly as possible. I plop him in the tub, and give him another bath (Bath #3) before he can poop again. I cleaned him up, got him ready for a nap, and put a clean Oliver to bed. Next, I had to tackle the splatter on the bathroom floor. Thank goodness for paper towels and disinfecting sprays! And now it is 10:30 am. I have yet to disinfect and clean his bath toys, but that can wait.

I hope Oliver's and my next 7.5 hours is much better...

I warned you, it was disgusting.
