Easter Fun

Oliver has been so excited for Easter, and it finally arrived. This weekend was full of Easter fun! On Friday, we decorated some hard-boiled eggs. He wanted to eat them all right away, and started crying when I told him he could only have one.

He was excited to get to eat more eggs on Saturday morning.

After getting ready on Saturday morning, we headed to Sandridge Park for Roy's Easter Egg Hunt! They separated the kids by age group. Oliver definitely had his patience tested, because we had to wait for about 20 minutes.

The hunt begins!

I love this one!
The actual "hunt" took about 2 minutes, but he was so excited to start eating the candy, it didn't matter. Right after, we went straight to Baby Animal Days in Logan. Of course, we had to ride the train first! Oliver rode in the caboose, so I couldn't get a good picture of him.

He was kind of scared of petting the animals, but he was brave a few times. He saw goats, donkeys, pigs, ponies, cows, and bears.

It took us about an hour waiting in line to see the baby bears, but they were adorable. Oliver was so tired of waiting after this. Then he also got to go on a wagon ride and get candy from the candy cannon.

Grabbing as much candy as he could from the candy cannon!

It was a long day for this little boy! He was completely exhausted and fell asleep in the car within a couple of minutes.

On Sunday morning when Oliver crawled into our bed, he had totally forgotten that the Easter Bunny was supposed to leave him something. He came out to this Easter basket! He got Buzz Lightyear, Lightening McQueen, books, the Planes movie, Altoids, and Rocky (from Thomas and Friends). It seems like a lot, but we got most everything from DI or cheap online. We decided to wait until Monday to get cheap candy, but he at least got his mints! (He always gets into my purse and eats half of mine in one sitting!)

It was a great Easter! And to top it off, Oliver got to hang out with his G-Dad and Grammy who stopped by to visit on their move back to Maine.
