Sunday was our first real holiday together. I decided that I want to start our family traditions now instead of waiting for kids to come along in the future. A few things that we used to do in my family when I was younger were boiling and dying eggs and doing Easter baskets from the Easter Bunny (of course!). I didn't want to go buy cheap/ugly Easter baskets that we would just end up throwing away. Instead, I found a basket pattern on Better Homes and Gardens. By the time I printed out the patterns, I realized that it would be REALLY tiny! I had to do the calculations to double the size and get the same proportions. They turned out really well. We won't keep them, but it was cheaper and cuter to make my own. I usually wake up and start getting ready before Jan (since it takes me longer), so I woke up and put the Easter baskets out and put our decorated eggs inside. I didn't buy any candy, because we still have a stash that we haven't gotten to yet.
