We are finally getting things done! The story starts with our marriage license being sent back to us with incorrect information on it. It said we got married on March 12th when we actually got married on March 5th. It also had one of the witness's names wrong. To make a long story short, instead of waiting and waiting for the clerk's office to send us a new version (I think I called them about five times within one week), I went and picked it up in person this passed Friday (4/15).
On Monday, we ran a bunch of errands to get my name changed. We went to social security, my employer for health insurance, and the bank. I tried to do the driver's license but didn't bring mail to prove that I'm a Utah resident, not to mention that fact that I didn't look good enough to take a picture that might be stuck with me for a while. We are going to go get that updated today (I look much better, haha), so I can have my name officially changed to Katherine Williams! This actually worked out perfectly for me, because my license expires on my birthday anyway, which is coming up soon.
Jan has decided to start applying for MHA/MBA programs to become a hospital administrator. He's going to have to take different tests now to apply for the program, so I get to help him study. Who knows how much help I can be, since I have no clue about hospital administration or business. We will see where that brings us in the Fall. As for now, we are saving up for the move, wherever it may be. Moving, buying furniture, saving to buy a Maltese puppy, and everything else in between.
We will let you know when we figure out everything that is going on. Wish us luck!
