Oliver got his first real haircut today! I've trimmed some super long strands from the front of his face and his neckline myself, but it was becoming more of a problem than I could handle. The back of his hair would become very matted because it was so long, and the front hairs were growing so quickly. We decided to finally get it cut. Thankfully we found a place that does children-under-5 haircuts for only $5. He was pretty nervous, so he sat on Jan's lap while the barber buzzed his hair. There were some tears, but he did much better than I expected. It is long enough that it still looks full, but short enough to look good and be manageable. There was a lot more hair on the floor than we expected! Hopefully the sides will start to grow a little more now. I think only we can really see how different it is, but I decided to post some "before" pictures so you can kind of get the picture.
