Vocabulary, Potty Training & Daycare

Oliver has been learning new words for a while now, but it seems like his vocabulary has exploded within the last 2 weeks. He can say so many words, but he is still learning how to pronounce them so others can understand. I'm so excited for him to be able to communicate more. I love knowing what he wants and needs and knowing he understands when I explain things to him (in simple words, of course). Here are some of the new words he can say.

I videotaped him saying some of these words. He likes to be behind the camera, not in front, so I had to give it a few goes to get him to say these words for the camera.

Here is an example of how he has used some of his new words recently. Cutest. Story. Ever. The other day, Zoe was reverse-sneezing, so I was saying, "Zoe, are you okay?" Oliver then took over. He knelt in front of Zoe with a concerned look on his face and said, "Doggy, k? K?" He was very concerned for her, so he kept asking if she was "K? K?". I wish I could've caught it on camera.

In other news, we bought Oliver a potty. He has been waking up with a dry diaper most mornings and after naps. He also tells us shortly after he goes #2. I think we are going to wait until he is at least 2 to start, but we wanted him to get used to the potty and trying going on it with his diaper still on. I can't believe how fast he is growing up!

Another piece of news that most of you probably already know by now is that Oliver will be starting daycare on Monday, which is when my training starts. I will be a customer service representative (in a call center) for Wayfair. They sell furniture online. They are growing, so I'm hoping there will be opportunities for advancement in the near future. Two months of searching finally paid off. Yay for work!
