Thanksgiving!

For Thanksgiving, we came down to Las Vegas to be with Jan's family. We brought Zoe with us, too! This was her first long road trip, and she has never been out-of-state. She was great the whole trip. No potty accidents, no throwing up, just sleeping for the most part.

We left for Vegas after work on Monday. We had to miss our two shows - Terra Nova and House :( We got here pretty late, and then we had to help Zoe get accustomed to Leni's dog, Medic. At first, we thought he would be a bully because he is a little bigger. Once Zoe got brave, she started picking on him.

For Thanksgiving, I made my cheesecake. It wasn't perfect, but it was good enough. Leni bought a turkey dinner that included sides. We also had ham, roast beef, and Korean BBQ. There were only six of us, so there were lots of leftovers.

Today, we did a little Black Friday shopping. I think this is actually the first year I've ever done Black Friday shopping. We mostly looked around, but we bought Zoe some things for her stocking. We bought Rio for us, and we found a camera we really like. We had been contemplating buying a DSLR camera, but since we aren't really using it for professional photography, we decided that it wasn't practical. The camera we found has really good reviews. It's small, but people say that it has DSLR-quality photos. This is what it looks like.

It hasa been a fun vacation. It will be sad to go back to work on Monday. I think it will be a shock for Zoe too, since she hasn't really been left alone all this week. Christmas, here we come!!!
