This week has been really busy trying to get the apartment done, even though we were both already moved in before the wedding. We had to unpack from the honeymoon, organize and put away all of our wedding presents, catch up on laundry, etc. Anyway, this weekend we went shopping with all of our giftcards and cash to get some things from our registries at Target and Bed Bath & Beyond. It was tiring but fun! My favorite thing was my new alarm clock (mine died forever ago and I hate waking up by cell phone). It charges and plays my iPod and the radio! Yay!
Jan's favorite item, on the other hand, was the KitchenAid (i.e., the real reason he married me). I guess you can tell our priorities from these items. Mine = sleep. Jan's = cooking. Haha :)
On Sunday, I was excited to play with our new waffle-maker. I'm really happy with the one that we decided to get - it made the perfect waffles! It came with some delicious recipes too. We will have to test them out on some guinea pigs :)We still have to finish some decorating in the living/dining room and bedroom, but here is a preview of the kitchen and bathroom!
If you can tell, on the kitchen window sill is my new orchid. Jan bought me one a while ago, but it died. I saw this one at Smith's, and it just looked so perfect, I couldn't resist!Once we get the bedding back from the dry cleaner's on Thursday, there will be a preview of our bedroom, and the living/dining area should be done by then too!
