This past Sunday, I decided that I wanted to drive the car over to my Aunt Debbie's house for our normal family game night. I don't normally drive when both Jan and I are in the car, but it was just my luck to get pulled over! I've only ever been pulled over once before. It was just a few months after I had gotten my license, and it was for a headlight on my dad's car being out. This time, I had absolutely no idea what I had done wrong. I knew I was going under the speed limit, and I was sure he pulled over the wrong person. I ended up getting a fix-it ticket for the tint on the windows being too dark. The officer said that Utah law said the windows had to have 43% visibility. We only had 12% (even Nevada requires 35%, so being registered there didn't help either). We just had it fixed on Tuesday. Thankfully, once I get it signed off by a police officer that it passes Utah law, it won't go on my record. Even though I didn't particularly like getting pulled over, it was probably better that I did rather than Jan. I have a clean driving record, and I think the police officer felt bad because it isn't technically "my" car. He probably would have given Jan a real ticket.
Other than that, the week has been as normal as it could be. Finally things have calmed down a little bit in our lives. We are pretty much settled into the apartment other than a little bit of decorating, and we are going about our normal daily routine. Today we get to pick up the bedding and the wedding dress from the dry cleaners! I tried to clean up the desk and dresser in our room, but most of it is Jan's stuff that I have absolutely no idea what to do with. We also need to get my sewing machine set up, so I can start making myself some new skirts and make my friends a few things too. We want to get a console to put right next to the front door, where we can put keys, wallets, purses, etc. Hopefully we can get it soon! This weekend we want to go to a play! Updates on the rest of the apartment and any fun activities we do will be up soon!
